Doug Townson
Born in 1980 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Doug grew up loving comedians Andrew “Dice” Clay,
Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor.
Following in his hero's footsteps,
Doug started doing stand-up comedy “like everybody else,” doing “Opening slots starting at three minutes, and advancing to five minutes, then ten minutes” at different comedy clubs across the U.S.A.
After a stint in the army, Doug returned home and started selling cars locally. He couldn’t shake the comedy bug, however, and in order to make work more fun, Doug began making videos featuring his hilarious mini-skits about the cars and ending each video with his patented tag line “Come holla” in his inimitable Louisiana drawl. Many “household name” Hollywood celebrities and famous rappers have bought cars from Doug. Millions of fans watched and loved his videos, giving Doug legions of loyal followers and fans on social media, and leading to appearances on popular podcasts such as Get in the Car, Drinkin’ Bros, Dumb Zone, and Hate it or Love it to name a few.
Though no longer selling cars, Doug is still making hilarious videos on social media (on platforms that have repeatedly tried to ban and silence him for his no-holds-barred style) and doing live shows, planning a new comedy album, and a tour to support it!
Doug is currently writing new skits and doing custom cameo videos (sharing the proceeds with homeless vets), roasting friends and loved ones of the purchase,r much to everybody involved’s delight!
